About Micaela
I am a rising college senior studying Space Physics with 1 year of tutoring experience in math and physics. I know what it feels like to struggle with a concept, and I am also familiar with the sense of relief and motivation that comes when you find the explanation that makes something finally click. I am passionate about helping fellow students find how to make topics "click" for them.
I always ask students what their goals, hobbies, and interests are before I begin tutoring them. This way, I can tailor examples to their personal interests and increase their engagement with the subject. I also ask what their learning style is, because tutoring is ineffective if it's done in a way that isn't conducive to how the student learns.
The main thing that I want students to remember at the end of each session is this: you are capable of so much, and it doesn't matter how long it takes you to grasp a concept- the fact that you're willing to try immediately puts you that much closer to achieving your goals.
