About Isis
Hi! My name is Isis and I am a Science, Social Science, English and Calculus tutor. I’ll tell you a bit about myself and my qualifications.
I have two years experience in tutoring AP Psychology, AP Environmental Science, and regular Biology. I received a 5 on both AP exams and the Florida state exam for Biology. I am in the process of relearning AP Bio so I can take on that challenge as well!
I have a few months of tutoring AP Calculus AB after receiving a 4 in my exam and tutoring students at my school for free. I’m current an AP Calculus BC student and focus on a lot of AB concepts, so I can provide my clients with practice problems and personalized sessions.
I received a 5 on both my AP English Language exam and my AP Capstone exam. My AP Capstone paper was written about embryonic stem cells and was used as an exemplar. I’m very comfortable with tutoring in writing skills and teaching students how to foster their creativity and pre-existing writing ability everyone has in them! I love to teach others how to research, as well.
I love teaching others concepts they might not be familiar with. It’s refreshing to see someone understand things after they were frustrated. I have been in the same boat, too! I teach children, too. I can teach English Second Language children and ensure that I nurture their lingual ability.
I am flexible with my rates and start at $25 an hour. I look forward to working with you!
