About Emma
Excitement, fun, and challenge--that's what you get from the Tutoring by Emma experience. With 200+ hours of tutoring experience, I deliver thoughtfully planned study sessions that adapt to the needs of my students. I have an extensive background in math and computer science and have aced numerous advanced standardized tests: the SHSAT earning a spot at The Bronx High School of Science, the SAT earning a combined 2100+ score, the SAT II Math Exam with a perfect 800, the AP Calculus BC exam with a 5, and the the AP Computer Science exam with a 5. I am also highly proficient in college level math and computer science coursework, including Calculus I, II, and III, Linear Algebra, Object Oriented Programming (Java), Advanced C++ programming, Data Structures, Discrete Structures, Computer Theory, Computer Architecture, and more. Whether you're a parent looking for a summer refresher in elementary school math, or to prepare your child for the the most competitive high school standardized tests; or a student struggling with college level coursework, I've got you covered. I'm excellent at explaining concepts in multiple different ways to suit the needs of my learners. I also bring tons of encouragement, optimism, and energy to my tutoring sessions.
