About Mariam
I am an elementary school teacher with hands-on experience of handling a classroom. I have also tutored seventh and eighth graders and helped them overcome their problem areas.
Being a mother of two kids and having taught a classroom of 20-25 students, I have developed a lot of patience which is a key requirement of being a good teacher.
I don't believe in one size fits all. Therefore, I customize my teaching strategy based on the student I am working with. While some require just a push, other students require a more deeper explanation of the concepts being taught. Some are better at grasping concepts visually, while other prefer more experimental learning. Therefore, I adapt different methods of teaching to ensure my student really excels in the subject. At the end of the day, the goal is not just a good grade, but also to ensure that the student enjoys learning.
