About Kelsey

Hello everyone! My name is Kelsey Haycock and my tutoring journey began many years ago. I did peer tutoring occassionally through middle and highschool. Then more official tutoring after I graduated in 2016. I tutor math and have years of experience with the subject. I took honors and AP math classes in highschool and then went on to study mechanical engineering where I expanded my knowledge base and practiced solving problems often. I also worked with the college to provide tutoring for students in the area. I most enjoy helping students beginning algebra, but am open to tutor other subjects taught elementary to highschool. I like to explain the whys behind a method to ensure the student understands what is happening rather than having them rely on a trick or formula they don't understand to get the correct answer. I find this method is better for students in the long run and makes learning less frustrating in the future. I hope to see you in a lesson soon!
