When working with a new scholar my process consist of building a good relationship with the scholar, encouraged and reasure them that the topic they are finging challaging is not that much of a challange and that they can be great at it. Before or during the first session I would love to be introduced to parents and the scholar whom I will be working with and establish some ground rules. We willl then target topics of dificulty and set goals to aid in mastering such topics.
