About Elissa
Hello! I give students one-on-one help with specific areas of study, classwork comprehension, and concepts that they might find challenging. I hold a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education, have taught in public schools, have home-schooled my own children, and have been doing private tutoring for over 10 years. My areas of focus include math, reading and comprehension, language arts, and developing study skills. I am familiar with much of the elementary and middle school curricula used in the United States and I stay up-to-speed on various online resources that can be useful and am prepared to help you succeed!
I do online sessions using Zoom. I've found this to be a highly successful way to hold one-on-one sessions where we can maintain focus and achieve the greatest possible result in the time we have together.
