About Lisa
Hi! I’m Lisa Newton, a high school honors student who believes mastering the fundamentals is the key to academic success. Over the past several years, I have dedicated myself to peer tutoring, mentoring grade school children, my own peers, and serving as a student instructor for a nonprofit youth instrument program. Through these experiences, I have developed a patient, adaptive teaching style that breaks down complex ideas into simple, digestible steps. I love teaching and helping and have learned many approachable methods to homework help and tutoring. Mathematics and writing are my specialty. I hold a 3.99 overall GPA, a perfect 4.0 in every math class, and have won academic awards in the subject for two consecutive years and one in history for outstanding analysis and historical writing. Having already completed all state high school math requirements, I am advancing to college-level math and science courses this upcoming school year. Beyond my qualifications, I have a genuine love for teaching and look forward to building your child's confidence and foundational skills!
