About Yevgeniy
Sometimes, grammar, literacy, and writing sound boring. Somehow, I've come to love them. I've spent eight years educating students, whether in a high school, a tutoring center, or now in the college classroom as a doctoral candidate. I earned my NYC teaching certification for students with disabilities. There, I taught English and Social Studies to grades 9-11. As a tutor in NJ, I worked with students from ages 5-17, focusing on English grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. For several of the older students, I provided SAT prep instruction as well.
I really enjoy connecting with young learners and watching them mature into better thinkers, speakers, and writers. I've had to learn how to make content accessible for different types of students of all ages. That, and my love for English and Social Studies, are what compel me to be my best.
