About Sara
Hi! I am currently an Environmental Science Educator with a B.A. in Elementary Education and four years of tutoring experience with middle schoolers in math, science, reading, and literature. My approach to tutoring is student-guided and relies on methods that best support the individual student. I have experience working with students of many different learning backgrounds and needs. It's very important that I build trust and a relationship with my students to learn what motivates them and what their goals are. Teaching is a passion of mine and I am always learning new strategies and ways to engage my students to reach success! I practice the growth mindset model in which I like to turn "I can'ts" to "I can't do it yet".
