About Connor
Here at Schwartz History Tutoring we provide culture spanning history tutoring so not only does your student learn the importance of history and how to think like a historian, but they also learn about diverse groups and places through their own cultural lenses. We are opposed to the use of a euro-centric lense when studying history.
I got started right out of high school teaching trumpet and then coaching a middle school jazz band. I decided I wanted to teach history because I disagreed with the way it was being taught. I hope to help students that, like me, feel history is interesting but made to be boring in school.
I have a Bachelors degree in Teaching History. I have also worked with students for a number of years teaching them to play trumpet and bagpipes.

I like to get to know the students style of learning and interests. Once I know the student I can tailor the process to the student. I like to use music as an educational tool and support the use of primary documents in studying history.
Through music lessons I have worked with all kinds of students from go-getters to maybe-laters. I have found the key in every case is to find the students interests and tie them into the lesson.

Details
I charge 30$ Per hour but am willing to charge 15$ for every half hour if that is preferable.
