About Joseph
I have worked in education for the past decade and enjoy helping students reach their full potential. I have experience in a number of different AP history courses and yearly I work as a grader for AP essays (LEQ, SAQ, and DBQ). I worked as an executive functioning coach for a few years and particularly enjoy helping students find the best use of their time with new time management skills. I have written curriculum for a number of world history courses ranging from the Paleolithic Era to the end of the Cold War so I have a number of resources and self-written texts at my disposal to assist my students.
I started teaching by tutoring my friends in college who struggled in history classes, I enjoyed making the information fun and relatable for them.
I have worked in education for the past decade and teach historical topics including AP World, AP Euro, World History I and II, and World Cultures. I wrote curriculum for multiple courses and for the past three years I have assisted in grading AP essays for the CollegeBoard.

I find out which topics they struggle with and areas they would like to have maximum growth in. I see what their interests are and incorporate them into my lessons and discussions.
I have worked with students that struggled with executive functions and mastery of content as well as students who desired to take the AP exam early and provided them with essay writing and content practice.
I would check their breadth of work instead of solely focusing on the number of years they taught a sole topic.
The industrial revolution and modern immigration are my favorite historical topics.
