Asha is focused, disciplined and clearly an experienced teacher. She has helped my daughter with her confidence, her essay writing structure, exam techniques and language analysis. My daughter prefers her mode of teaching to others, as it is simple and clear to apply. My daughter is also now more enthusiastic about English - she will be taking it for AS level!

Our son sat his GCSE English literature in May 2018. He achieved a D in higher tier. His teachers wanted him to re-sit at foundation tier. We did not agree. We booked sessions with Asha. He re-sat higher tier in January 2019. We are really pleased to say he achieved a B. Asha feels by the time he sits his next exam this summer he will be capable of an A or A*.
Asha has a method of teaching that suits our son. He feels more able to break down the questions on exam papers into a structure he is able to understand and apply.

My daughter has only been going to Asha for a few weeks but has made a lot of progress in that time. Asha assessed her during her first lesson & identified the areas that she needed to work on for both her Language & Literature GSCEs. Asha really helped me with my English Literature. I was studying Of Mice and Men, and although we read the novel at school, Asha was able to give me a more in-depth understanding of the novel. She really helped me understand the structure of essays and what examiners expect in my answer. She taught me some good essay writing techniques, which I also use in my English Language and other subjects like History. She made poems easy to understand because I really hate poems!
