I get to know the students first to be able to know her learning style so I would know how I'm gonna handle the student to make our learning process meaningful.

I worked with students from prestigious school here in Philippines and also got the chance to teach in a small town. With the experiences between different cultures I assure that I have learned a lot.

If you are a student looking to hire a teacher in Social Studies or English, it is important to find someone who is not only knowledgeable in the subject but also passionate about teaching. Look for a teacher with the right qualifications, such as a relevant degree or teaching license, and experience at your educational level. It’s also helpful to ask about their teaching style to ensure it matches your learning preferences—whether you learn best through visuals, discussions, or hands-on activities. A good teacher should be patient, clear in their explanations, and willing to adjust to your pace. Don’t hesitate to request references or reviews from past students, as these can give you insight into the teacher’s reliability and effectiveness. Finally, strong communication skills and consistent availability are essential traits to look for, especially if you want a productive and supportive learning experience.

With the pandemic, I an now fond of surfing the internet and vlogging.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Before talking to teachers about their needs, students should think through the following questions:

1. What specific subject or topic do I need help with?

(e.g., World History, essay writing, grammar, etc.)

2. What are my goals?

(Do I want to improve my grades, prepare for an exam, or better understand a topic?)

3. What challenges am I facing?

(Is it difficulty understanding concepts, managing time, staying motivated, etc.?)

4. What is my preferred learning style?

(Do I learn better through visuals, discussions, hands-on activities, or reading?)

5. How much time can I commit?

(How many hours a week can I dedicate to extra help?)

6. What kind of support do I expect from the teacher?

(Do I need regular feedback, flexible scheduling, or extra practice materials?)

7. Am I willing to put in effort outside of lessons?

(Learning requires commitment—am I ready for that?)
