About Shll

Hello, my name is Shell and I am specialized in teaching Mathematics and Physics. My approach to tutoring focuses on building strong foundational understanding while also encouraging problem-solving skills and critical thinking. I make lessons engaging by connecting concepts to real-life examples, so students not only learn but also see the value in what they are studying. I have a solid academic background in Science and Mathematics, and I’ve worked with students of various levels, from secondary school to pre-university. My lessons are typically one to two hours long, allowing enough time to explain new concepts, practice problems together, and address individual questions. I am committed to creating a supportive and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and confident in their progress. Whether you are preparing for exams or simply want to strengthen your understanding, I will guide you with patience, clarity, and structured methods tailored to your needs.

About the lesson

When teaching, I focus on making complex concepts simple and relatable by connecting them to real-life examples. My methodology emphasizes step-by-step problem solving, encouraging students to first understand the “why” behind a concept before moving on to the “how.” I also use interactive techniques such as quick quizzes, visual aids, and guided practice to keep lessons engaging and to check for understanding. A typical lesson lasts about 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs. This gives us enough time to review previous material, introduce new concepts, and practice solving problems together without overwhelming the student. In terms of qualifications, I am currently pursuing my Foundation in Science at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, with strong academic results in both mathematics and physics. I also have experience mentoring my peers during school activities such as Science Club projects and cooperative events, where I explained concepts and guided problem-solving in a supportive way. My lessons are tailored for secondary school and pre-university students (ages 13–19) who want to strengthen their understanding of mathematics and physics. I welcome students of all levels, whether they are struggling and need extra support or aiming to excel further.
