About Ts. Syahrul Fithry Senin
I am Ts. Syahrul Fithry Senin, a Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Pulau Pinang and a Professional Technologist (Ts.) with extensive experience in engineering, structural analysis, computational methods, and artificial intelligence. Throughout my academic career, I have contributed to numerous research publications in structural engineering, machine learning, numerical analysis, and engineering education. My work reflects a strong passion for combining mathematics, engineering principles, and modern technology to solve real-world problems.
My expertise includes structural analysis, finite element methods, optimization techniques, MATLAB programming, artificial neural networks, and non-destructive testing technologies. These fields are all founded on strong mathematical principles, reinforcing my belief that mathematics is the language of science and engineering.
Why I Teach Mathematics and Additional Mathematics
I believe that many students do not dislike mathematics—they simply have not been taught in a way that makes it meaningful and understandable. My goal is to help students develop confidence by explaining mathematical concepts logically, clearly, and systematically rather than relying solely on memorization.
I am passionate about teaching Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, and Pre-University Mathematics because these subjects form the foundation for future studies in engineering, computer science, data science, economics, and many other professional disciplines. Having applied advanced mathematics extensively throughout my academic and research career, I can demonstrate to students how mathematical concepts are used to solve practical engineering and scientific challenges.
My teaching philosophy focuses on:
