I have to say that I liked working with Jean as a tutor when I was her student at Sacramento City College for many reasons. First of all, she never gave me a grade for free. In fact, I had to rewrite my essays several times in order to improve not only my grade but my abilities as a writer. Second, I really admired how Jean always had a huge smile on her face when she got to the classroom. Third, I will never forget how understanding, flexible and supportive she was when I struggled with some writing assignments due to personal difficulties. Last but not the least, beyond being my tutor Jean was an active listener, always ready to facilitate and guide me through the available resources that were in Sacramento City College to address my needs.

Jean was my grammar tutor, and I was also in her grammar, listening, and speaking classes at college. She helped me truly learn the English language and allowed me to be one step closer to being fluent. I owe it all to her, and I am thankful for everything she has taught me.
