I love teaching and tutoring children for many different reasons but mostly for those special “aha” moments when the light bulb goes off and a student “get’s it”, the “it” being whatever concept or strategy we have been working on. ... I LOVE watching students grow. I enjoy interacting with children of different ages, races and cultures.I love being a tutor because I like to help students become better every day.
I actually started tutoring children when I was 17 years old, that's how I developped a passion for teaching that led me into my teaching career.
Elementary school teach with 20 years of experienced managing classrooms of 15 to 20 students. Tutored from Kindergarten to elementary in Language Arts and ESL. Adept at using positive reinforcement teaching techniques to encourage student behavior and growth. Looking to leverage my creativity and teaching experience to encourage at-risk students.
tutoring is just plain fun. While school can be difficult, finding new and engaging ways to teach the material creates an enjoyable and personal environment for students.
