About Amber

My tutoring and teaching experience has allowed me to learn the critical skill of adjusting to each student's learning style. Sessions are adapted to meet their needs to give them the best chance at success. We take the time to ensure that students are both learning the material and understanding how to be active learners. The goal is that they will master their subject, while developing excellent study habits and learning to teach themselves. The result is confident students that are able to tackle any challenge.

A passionate learned myself, I have been working with students for over 10 years. I am comfortable working with students from K-12, including college test prep.

I define success by helping others achieve their educational goals. Working with students to help them develop a passion for learning is the best reward.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, I first get a sense of what their goals are and what they hope to accomplish from our time together.

Then, I spend some time really getting to know them - what helps them learn, what makes learning enjoyable, what they love to do in their free time.
