About Jule

Hello! I am an English Professor that directs a writing center and loves to work with students. I believe all students can learn to read and write. I am dedicated to working collaboratively with you to reach your goals. I have over 15 years of experience teaching and tutoring all ages and levels of students. I am excited to draw upon my certifications, education, and experience for supporting your academic and professional goals.

I love working with students to help them actively engage with reading, research and writing. I believe that ALL students can learn and write. I believe that students come to each seesion with unique needs that I honor and help to develop.

I have a PhD in English and an undergraduate degree in secondary education. I also direct a writing center where I work with students of all levels and specialize in ESL tutoring.

About the lesson

I work collaboratively with students and use real work in context to ensure that students are not simply memorizing skills, but applying them. I also believe on scaffolding skills so that students can draw from prior knowledge while expanding their abilities.
