About Delaney

I am a graduate of UCLA who specializes in middle school and high school math, science, and history classes. I have also been a basketball and running coach for elementary school children. I have worked as a tutor for the past seven years and have a passion for educating and developing both the skills and confidence of my students to be able to do well in their courses.

In my previous roles as a tutor and coach I sparked a passion for developing young minds. I believe most children are simply in need of more support or a secondary viewpoint in order to accomplish what they are truly capable of. I believe that success is made not only when the student is able to test well on the information, but also develops better study skills and confidence to help them throughout their education career.

About the lesson

I typically engage the student by having them review their previous coursework, current study habits, and future goals. I then spend some time scheduling out a plan for success before diving in to tackle new information.

I then studied Biology, US History, and ACT prep with her for the next semester and improved my grades in these classes as well as my study habits overall enough to get accepted at UC Santa Barbara.
