About Sarah

I am currently a high school senior at the Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ. I believe I stand out because I am a peer that understands what it takes to excelle in the humanities.

I am a high achieving student that enjoys learning and helping others learn. Last year I earned 5's on the AP English Language Exam and the AP US History Exam. I am currently enrolled in AP European History, AP Statistics, and AP Calculus.

This year, I was appointed by my school's English Department to be a Writing-Fellow. As a Writing-Fellow, I have worked weekly with various students of all age levels on all types of writing.

I have recently finished my college process, and would enjoy helping others with getting a head start on their college application process. During this process, I also completed the SAT essay and can provide helpful insight on how to maximize one's score.

I have a passion for English and History (and plan to major in one of these two topics). I hope to help others grow in their academic journeys in any way I can.

I have been trained as a writing instructor at my school, and I have tutored multiple students for the SAT (writing and reading). I am a strong expository writer, but have also been trained in creative writing. I was selected last year to participate in the Reynolds Young Writers Workshop.

About the lesson

With new students, I like to have an initial zoom/skype call to understand what they would like from my tutoring fully. In this call, we set up a rough schedule and then continue to communicate over email for scheduling future sessions.

I have primarily worked with high school and older middle school students. However, I am open to working with younger students.

Details

I charge $35 per hour for zoom/skype sessions (excluding the inital session). In terms of editting a single paper that will vary on the length and content.
