About Danielle

Overview:

I have read, critiqued, and graded THOUSANDS of papers over the last six years of teaching college students!

Between three different campuses, I have taught and designed seven different college courses. I have also taught and designed curriculum for five different one on one English classes with middle school and high school students at a specialized private school.

I have worked with all ages of children and young adults in a volunteer or professional capacity since I was in middle school! I am a born teacher and love helping my students grow through learning.

About the lesson

I think it is important to introduce myself and share my background and love of teaching with my students so they immediately know I care about them not only as a student, but as a person. I think establishing a personal connection goes a long way and even aids in the ability to break boundaries in learning. Then I begin to ask questions to see what students think they struggle with and what their strengths are so we can determine a clear goal to accomplish in our time together.

I have taught students in middle school, high school, and college. Some of my students have had unique learning and behavioral needs that needed to be accommodated in the classroom and I am open to specialized learning.
