About Courtney

I can tutor all age groups and all levels of education. I can also tutor ESL and ECE students. I have 15 years of teaching experience in the public school system and also for various companies. My availability is very open.

I enjoy working with youth and seeing them learn something new. I am passionate about certain subjects that is languages and being able to read and write. Language is ultimately how we communicate whether it's on paper or in speech. We have to be able to comprehend what other people have written in order to communicate better and learn new things.

I have a Master's in Secondary Education which means I was taught how to teach. I have also passed the PLT which is a state exam for teachers to have to passed in order to teach. I have also taught all subject areas and all areas with a variety diverse students from all different backgrounds. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish.

About the lesson

I like to find out their learning style. I like to start off at an easy place then gradually build on that with more difficult material in that subject area. I expect my students to have increased their grade level in that subject area. I expect questions from students and if I don't know the answer, I will find it out. I'm very patient and kind with tutoring my students. I expect my students to grow and enjoy their tutoring session.
