About Daniela

Hello! My name is Dani and I am a student at the University of California, Los Angeles. I recently graduated from high school with a 4.71 GPA, along with certificates of recognition for excellence in English Language Arts and Science. Additionally, I have received the President's Award for Educational Excellence and the Scholastic Achievement Award from the California State Senate. Not to mention, I have been awarded the California State Seal of Bilteracy, the Golden State Seal Merit Diploma, and the title of Valedictorian from my high school.

I have a great passion for writing and helping others improve upon their own writing skills. We all have the capacity of becoming incredible writers and I am excited to help as many students as possible tap into their potential!

The main thing I enjoy about the work I do is seeing people improve and excel. When it comes to writing, it is a skill that takes diligent practice. Even if it is not your strongest skill at the moment, it can definitely be improved upon in time with direction and guidance!

Even though I have no formal training in teaching, I have experience with tutoring over the past few years especially with children of elementary school age. Furthermore, during high school, I would often help my classmates improve and edit their essays to make sure they received the highest grades possible for their work. In difficult classes, such as AP English Language and AP English Literature, proofreading and editing our essays proved essential!

About the lesson

First, I would like to get the know the student in regards to their passions and interests. In finding out the things the student truly enjoys, I try to make learning an engaging time for them by connecting their interests with the subject they are trying to improve upon.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Before talking to teachers about their needs, they should make sure they know clearly the areas in which they are having difficulties in and the areas where they are stronger. In doing so, the teacher and student can work together to devise a learning plan that will benefit the student with maximum efficiency, taking into account the student's strengths and weaknesses to work towards a path of success.

Depending on the services needed by the student in question, my lessons range from $20-$50 an hour. However, if less time is needed by the student, this price is subject to change. I am open to discussing pricing on a case-by-case basis.
