About Reed

I started teaching at my high school as a tutor, but when I graduated I wasn't able to continue with my busy college schedule. I now help my younger brother and his friends with their high school English essays and tutor occasionally at my college when I have free time.

I have experience with Honor's and AP English classes at the high school level, the standard required English classes at the college level, and tutoring experience for high school and college-level students. My tutoring is designed to help students analyze texts, make connections between texts, answer prompts efficiently and accurately, and write essays and papers that encapsulate everything the teacher is looking for in a well-written essay.

About the lesson

My first step when meeting a new student is getting to know who they are as a person. I need to understand the student in order to help them. Then we take a sample of their writing and break it down. I then show the student a format that their essay should be in, if necessary, then we work together to make the best essay for the assignment at hand. If there is no assignment, then I will create a prompt in order to practice and improve the students writing, brainstorming, and problem-solving abilities.

I have worked with high school students and some college students. I have experience in both high school and college English but prefer to help the younger writers so they have a good idea of what English teachers want to see in essays and papers.

Make sure the teacher is able to help you with what you are looking for. My business is focused on helping students write essays for classes. I have experience with high school English classes and teachers that allow me to help other high school students with their essays for class. I know what the teacher is looking for and how to present it in a clean, direct manner that will improve your grades.

A recent event that I am fond of was a road trip that I took with my best friend. I have always been very adventurous and outgoing, but the summer after my senior year in high school, I really felt the need to do something special. I planned out a 12-day road trip through the Pacific Northwest, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton National Park. One of the best experiences of my life and a trip that I will never forget.
