About Cassandra

Hello! My name is Cassandra Ye and I am a Chemical Biological Engineering Major at MIT.

As a high school senior, I found college applications to be very daunting. However, after a lot of trial and error, I was able to maximize the number of colleges I applied to without sacrificing the quality of my application essays and materials. By adhering to the schedule and checkpoints I set for myself, I was able to apply to 15+ colleges and was granted acceptance into prestigious universities such as MIT, Columbia, Cornell, and Harvard (waitlist).

With my first hand knowledge of the college application process, I can help your child perfect and polish their application so that he/she can gain admittance to the college of their dreams!

I have been teaching in my community for the past two years, and nothing is more gratifying than seeing my students excel at subjects and topics they used to struggle with

I graduated my high school as Top 20 in my class. Additionally, I have taken 14 Advanced Placement Tests (AP), and I have recieved a 5 on AP Biology, AP Physics, AP English Language and Composition, AP US History and more.

In terms of standardized testing, my SAT, SAT II, and PSAT scores are all in the 99th percentile.

About the lesson

When I begin working with a new student, our first meeting will be to gauge the current level of the student's skills as well as, set a goal for the future. From that point onward, I will begin to give homework as well as guidance, so that we are able to achieve our academic goals.

For students that are seeking help with college counselling, the initial meeting will be to establish a schedule in which major checkpoints, such as the common app and supplemental essays, will be expected to be completed in a timely manner. Doing so will take any unnecessary stress off of the student and ensure that we have time to present the best version of him/her to college admission counselors.
