About Jolene

I genuinenly care about you and your learning. I view myself as a lifelong learner; I'm here to facilitate your learning. I'm happy to explain the Oxford comma and what makes a complex sentence, but I want you to internalize what you learn.

I love sharing aha moments with students and the ability to work one-on-one over a piece of writing or an idea. That's basically my idea of a good time!

I have worked at two writing centers working with students on their writing assignments. I have a degree in English and over five years' experience as an editor. I've also worked as a TA and a paper grader, so I know what it's like to be a student and to be the one holding the red pen.

About the lesson

English lessons offered by Jolene are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Cypress. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
