My 7th grader has been taking lessons with Aaron for about 9 months now and I'm truly impressed with his percussive AND his teaching skills. I played snare in high school and held cymbals for the snare drum line in college that was mostly made up of guys from the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. I know the sound of a good percussionist and Aaron's definitely got the skills! He is also very positive and encouraging of my son's goal of playing in the high school drum line. And he is very calm and patient when my son gets so frustrated with his inability to play something as well as he (my son) wants. My son has come a long way in his own playing under Aaron's instruction. I just asked him if there was anything he'd like to say about Aaron and he summed it up nicely, "He's awesome!"
