About Wilson
(FULLY VACCINATED)
Although I'm only 22, I've been playing the drums for 16 years now, and for the past 3 years I've been playing in an nationally touring band. My main drumming style is rock/punk but in a style largely informed by world music. I've played the guitar for 10 years and also played in a nationally touring band as a guitarist before switching to drums. I can teach any style of drums at most levels, and I'm well versed in all music theory but especially rhythm.
Music is my absolute passion in life and there aren't enough good drummers in New York City. I'm really focused on helping students develop their own unique style and influences, and helping them find a way to not only play the rhythms they want to play but also develop an ability to innovate on the drums and play in a distinct style that sets them apart.
10 years of drum training, 16 years of drum performance, completed courses in several levels of music theory.

Once I understand where we're at I'll develop a lesson plan involving things to practice at home, songs to listen to/study/drum along to, and of course actual practices to workshop during lesson time
