About Oscar Andrés
If you’re looking for serious improvement, professional guidance, and real musical growth — I’m the right teacher for you.
I’m a Berklee College of Music graduate, Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation Ambassador, and a working professional drummer based in Los Angeles. I’ve performed at major events including the Latin GRAMMYs, NAMM Show, and international jazz festivals.
I teach students ages 11 through adults, from complete beginners to advanced players preparing for auditions and professional careers.
What makes my lessons different:
• Structured, goal-oriented curriculum
• Strong focus on technique, coordination, groove, and musicality
• Pop, Rock, Funk, Latin, Jazz, Fusion, and contemporary styles
• Audition and college prep (including Berklee auditions)
• Proven track record helping students earn scholarships
I don’t offer random jam sessions — I offer mentorship.
Every lesson is personalized and designed to create measurable progress.
Lessons are available at my professional studio or online. I’m also open to in-home lessons when appropriate.
If you’re ready to take drumming seriously and invest in your growth, I’m ready to guide you.

First, to have a good relationship. I like to ask the student what is his/her goal for the lessons. I like to hear what he knows and then to create a routine that will help the student to develop his abilities.
I assist at the Latin GRAMMYs and performed there with Sofia Carson

Studying with Oscar was amazing! He’s a very helpful teacher and he is very clear with the exercises he gives to practice. His knowledge of rhythms is incredible. We’ve been learning rock, funk, jazz, samba, latin and Afro Cuban. I’m very happy to have him as my teacher.
