About Alex
My goal is to help my students improve and learn about the same instrument(s) I love and have a lot of fun in music. It's very important to me that we work at a pace, level, and intensity that the student is comfortable with. If you're seeing whether or not drums are for you, I'm absolutely happy to work with you! If you want to pick up some technical skills like reading music, reading percussion notation, and learning beginning to advanced percussive technique behind the drums (drumset, snare drum, marching snare drum, marching tenors, etc...) I'm happy to work with you! If you just want to get behind the drums and learn how to have a good time I'm happy to work with you!
In high school as percussion captain and first chair, I've learned through teaching middle schoolers, elementary schoolers, and anyone else that guiding others and seeing others improve through music is something that I really enjoy. Watching musicians progress with their skills and talent from the help of my guidance is a priceless experience.

I work with the interests of the student (and/or parent). I can teach percussive technique (for a wide array of instruments, styles, and approaches), music reading, reading percussive notation, ear training, and music theory basics.
I work with ages 7-15.

After that, I work with what's possible for you. Education and giving people the opportunity to experience music are more important to me than making money.
I charge 20$ per hour and 10$ for half an hour.
