About Michael

I hold my Bachelor's degree in Percussion Education from Indiana University, Fort Wayne. I am the percussion director at Homestead High School, and I have over 20 years of performing experience including world class drum corps and indoor percussion seasons (Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps, Northcoast Academy Percussion Ensemble.

I give my students a custom tailored experience based on their individual goals. I throughly enjoy watching my students grow over the course of our time together!

I began working with private students at my alma mater immediate after graduating high school.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Music education (Percussion) from Indiana University, Fort Wayne. I am the Have 11 years of teaching experience, 20 years of performing experience. I have performed all over the nation with groups like the Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps and the Northcoast Academy Percussion Ensemble. As a teacher, I am the percussion director at Homestead HS in Fort Wayne, IN a perennial BOA national finalist band program.

About the lesson

I start by discussing what goals the student has. From there I will evaluate the student's current aptitude and skill level. These two factors will inform a custom curriculum aimed at helping the student meet their individual goals.

All types. I have students that are as young as 9 years old and as old as 23. My students range from beginner to advanced and collegiate ability levels.

Find someone who will evaluate your individual needs and meet you where you are. Education is a customized experience and not a "one size fits all" idiom. Find the instructor that has your best interests at heart.

I really enjoy live music. I recently attended a live jazz concert in Fort Wayne that was very enjoyable.

I charge $25 per 30 minute lesson and $45 dollars for a 60 minute lesson.
