About Scarlett
Hi! I want any possible students to know that I understand what it’s like to struggle with STEM subjects. Even though I’m now studying engineering, I started off A levels finding further maths really difficult, but through a lot of practice and time, I managed to work myself up to an A star! Essentially, I have a lot of sympathy and patience for those struggling with certain topics and I am passionate in exploring different ways of explaining those concepts until we find a way that works for you. I understand that not everyone learns in the same way, and what does work is regular practice and explanation to further your understanding!

I’m very patient and passionate about teaching STEM subjects! I understand that certain topics can be challenging and overwhelming for different people and am very receptive of the different ways people go about solving a problem; so instead of just re-explaining a tricky topic several times, I will find exactly what it is you don’t understand and find a different route to explain the concept in a way that works for you. I have lots of experience teaching STEM subjects, from tutoring physics and maths to independently leading lessons in Python coding! I’m happy to do sessions between 60 to 90 minutes tutoring physics, maths and coding for A level and GCSE students.
