About Nina
I have assisted classmates in college courses with their writing since 2015. I transitioned into assisting high school, college and adults with their writing projects in Fall of 2020. At this time, I am on track to graduate from the CUNY School of Professional Studies with a Bachelors in Communications and Media and a Business minor in May of 2021.
I took 21 credits in early childhood education at Oakton Community College during the 2014-2015 school year. I completed their advanced Early Childhood certification. I started in 2015 as an art assistant at a JCC day camp for preschool students. I became an assistant in their daycare at the end of the summer.
I am majoring in Communications and Media. I am on track to graduate in May of 2021. My prior work experience includes several years of working with younger children. Recently, I completed a TEFL certification.

I ask my students what they would like to work on. If it is a school assignment, we either start by editing the essay. We also focus on sentence structure, paragraph structure. If they have a rubric, I take a look at their rubric as well to make sure the project fits the requirements for their course.
I have worked with infants through age 11, high school, and college students.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Make sure that you have all your materials with you before the tutoring session. If you have a rubric, share it with the tutor at the beginning. It will save you time, energy and possibly money. Nothing is more frustrating than spending time with a tutor and finding your product does not meet the requirements of your assignment.
