About Paige
I've worked as a corporate and freelance editor for the last twelve years and as a private writing tutor for the last two years. I have experience across many genres and at all editorial levels: developmental editing, line editing, copyediting, and proofreading. I also have experience writing as a ghostwriter and blogger.
As a tutor, it's so rewarding to see how my experience in the publishing industry allows me to bring real-world skills and insight to my work with students. I also love the personal interaction with students--it's thrilling to see their progress and how mastery of writing skills and techniques empowers them in the classroom and beyond.
In working with students, I design customized lessons to help them start right where they are and make measurable progress to reach their goals. I am fiercely committed to building positive relationships with my students, understanding their learning styles, and finding their personalized route to success.
A family friend asked if I'd tutor her middle school-age kids. I enjoyed our lessons so much that I started taking other tutoring clients.
I have a Bachelor's degree in English and teaching certificate from Texas A&M University.
