About Madison
I have 7 years of college training in writing college-level essays and papers. I am currently a graduate student with a 4.0 GPA. I work with elementary, middle, high school and college students who want to excel in their academic writings.
I graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors from Florida State University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Education. I am currently a graduate student at Liberty University pursuing a Master's of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I am a Registered Behavior Technician, who has previously work with children, ages 2-7 on the Autism Spectrum.
I was certified by the Navy Child and Youth Programs as a School Aged Children specialist, where I worked with children ages 5-18 providing homework help and implementing science, art, technology, and exercise science lesson plans and field trips.
I enjoy showing students how their intellect and creativity is perfectly adequate to succeed academically. They only need a little guidance and a few tips to give professors and teachers exactly what they're looking for. I like to help students realize their personal goals and achieve them. I embrace students' intellectual individuality without trying to make each student's academic performance the same.
I started teaching elementary students based on lesson-plans that were created for me. My bachelor's is in psychology with a minor in education. I have taught Spanish, English, art, history, science, and writing to elementary and middle school students. I have also tutored on-on-one with high school and college students. I prefer working one-on-one with students who are hungry to amplify their writing skills and further their education.
I have taken and excelled in Associate's level English and Writing courses, as well as Bachelor's and Master's level research courses in the field of Psychology. I have assisted many students, including business, energy management, education, and communication majors in their writing skills. I am exceptionally well-versed with APA 7th edition papers, but I am also familiar with MLA format and willing to learn new styles.

I assess their current level of knowledge and experience with writing by reading one of their previous papers. After evaluation, I provide detailed feedback for necessary grammatical, formative, and content-flow changes to their paper. Talking with students about their goals for specific assignments helps me see the big picture, which then moves along the process for editing essays, stories, articles, or research papers.
I have worked with elementary, middle, high school and college-level students. I have also worked with students on the Autism Spectrum and students diagnosed with ADHD.
Be able to describe what you want to receive from your teacher or tutor. Share your experiences with challenging courses or past teachers. Provide previous assignments and teacher feedback or grades, if possible.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should ask themselves, "What are my specific short-term goals related to classes and assignments? What are my long-term goals related to higher-education and my future career?"

Details
Typically, I work with students based on the intensity of their assignments. For example, if a student has an 8-page paper, I will break down the price for that assignment by how many hours were dedicated to the assignment. I charge $25 per hour spent together in editing or revising a paper and $15 per hour that I spend on my own time reading and revising students' papers.
