About Angelica

Friendly . Personable . Passionate

I have dedicated over a decade of my life to the art of cooking. My goal is to not only grow your knowledge, but to also enhance your passion for food!

I love seeing the progression a student goes through and the look of confidence they get when things start to fall into place.

I was a cooking instructor at my local Sur La Table. I enjoyed it so much, I wanted to keep doing it as a side gig.

10+ years as a professional chef.

Traditionally French trained. Graduate from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.

About the lesson

It crucial to get an understanding of what kind of skills a student is trying to attain.

Build a strong rapport with my student. I want them to be able to trust me and my skills. The chefs I remember the most were those I trusted.

Lastly, I strive to make the lessons fun! I've grown up in strict professional kitchens and even though I learned a lot of core skills, life was very stressful. Cooking is an art and should always be fun!

If anyone is willing to learn, I am more than willing to teach

Make sure it an instructor you vibe well with. Most old-school chefs are known to be caullous and harsh, but incredibly knowledgable. If you are someone who is thick skinned then by all means, go for it. Otherwise, I suggest finding someone who has a gentler approach.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Know what it is that you want to learn. The culinary world is so vast that it takes years to learn and master most things.

Know how you learn. If you are a visual learner, say so, or if you are an oritory learner, speak up. The better I know how you learn, the more I can customize each lesson, and the more enjoyment you will get out of learning something new.
