About Wendi

I'm the greatest cheerleader for beginners. We laugh about whatever is going on in the kitchen. I listen to what the student wants to learn and the lesson is driven by them. I'm their mentor and coach.

The student is the most important part of the process. It's so fun to teach new skills and have the student light up because the "get it" or feel confident enough to do it again without me.

As I grew to love cooking and preserving, I learned all sorts of techniques to make it easier and I wanted to share my love for it all with others.

I make learning easy and fun.

I have been a stay-at-home mom for 24 years. I've been cooking and preserving food even before I started caring for my family.

I have taught others how to prepare food in person and online.

I have a small paid membership where I teach women how to develop food preservation skills and how to shop and store food for preparedness.

About the lesson

I usually email or message back and forth to understand what it is that they want to learn. We narrow it down to one or two priorities.

I'll send a list of the ingredients and tools they'll need if I'm going to their house.

I they're coming to me, I'll have them bring the ingredients. I have the tools already to use.

I introduce myself and explain before we start what we'll be doing step-by-step. Then the fun begins, and we start making the food they want to learn.
