About Johnny
Confucius says, Teach students according to their aptitude. I always remember and execute this dogma. Second Language learning is hard, especially learning Chinese. I want to help students build up cultural understand during learning process, which can cultivate their interests and develop persistence while facing challenges.
Teaching is not simply to show a translation word for word. It is an ideology to present history, culture, art, and many more that related to these words and phrases, especially for Chinese language. Without a true culture-teaching instructor, students can hardly step over the culture gap and tend to reach a bottleneck at some point.
As a Chinese native speaker, I'm also a classical Chinese culture enthusiast. I moved to the US 12 years ago, and teaches both English to Chinese students and teach English to non-chinese speaking students.

Transmit wisdom, impart knowledge, resolve doubt.
I first start tutoring English and math when I was admitted to the top school in Shanghai, China. Most students are family friends' children.
Then after moving to the US, I feel there are so many confusion and misunderstanding for American students towards foreign culture. I start helping out my fellow friends and local residents who are interested in learning Chinese language and culture.
Went to Shanghai International Studies University, which is one of the top school in China.
Bachelor's and Master's degree in US based universities.
