About Cindy

Hello! I am a sophomore at Washington State University and I am majoring in Computer Science. I moved to the United State from Taiwan few years back then before I gone to high school, and now I am looking for a Chinese tutoring job! This is my first time being a tutor but feel free to tell me the field that you want to learn/ your child would like to learn, and I promise I will have the teaching materials ready! Please contact me and let me know if you have any questions! :)

I am a really patient person and I love teaching! I have never done any turtoring before but I did a lot of volunteering works back than in high school, and I was pretty good at explaning things to people! I am sure I will be a good tutor for you, or your kids :)

Even though my major has nothing to do with this, but I wanted to gain some experience with teaching since I am also considering with teaching coding in the future. I am good at Chinese and still learning coding, so I choose Chinese as my starting point.

I have been speaking Chinese for longer than 18 years since I was born. I believe this is an enough training ;)

About the lesson

I will have an "interview" with him/her first - more like a chatting, a chill conversation. I feel like it is important to know my student before teaching anything. I will also ask the field he/she would like to learn from me, and believe me, I can teach anything with chinese!

I wouldn't say that people who are native Chinese speaker could be the best Chinese teacher, like I speak English but it doesn't mean that I am good at English. I believe that people with passion and patient can be a good teacher! If you would give me a try, I will give my best to you!

I am pretty much into building my own Wordpress webpage recently. Setting up my own server was not that hard and was kind of fun!

Normally based on some part time jobs I had done, I would like to charge about $14+ per hour depends on the lesson I am giving. Prices are negotiable.
