I first want to find out what a student is interested in? What do they want to learn about? Many topics discussed in school can be boring to students until they discover how their own interests can align with their curriculum
Make sure you feel comfortable enough to ask any sort of question with your teacher. Many students can be intimidated by professional level academics, especially in biology. It is much easier to learn from a friendly face who can go slow than from a textbook.

I will usually charge $35 per session if a student is looking for help with homework or understanding concepts they learned in class. Pricing might change if the student wants to go over new topics and have me create a new curriculum for our sessions
