About Jessica
During my Undergrad I tutored peers and I absolutely loved helping them thrive. I graduated magna cum laude with a BS in life sciences, and partook of doctoral level science courses in anatomy, biochemistry, research, neuroanatomy, cell biology, pathology and many others. I have successfully tutored students in dozens of courses.
I started teaching when my daughter began homeschooling, as she grew I taught older children and when I decided to go back to college I tutored fellow students.
I have been a tutor for almost two years. I also have been a teacher on Outschool and to homeschool groups.

I first try to understand the goals of the student. After which we will establish key items to work on based on the curriculum.
Elementary school, middle school, high school, undergraduate, and doctoral students.
I would say that experience is important but finding a tutor who understands your specific needs and communicates effectively is far more important to your success.
I recently went on a hike and geocache hunt with my children. We found a pirate treasure box geocache and we were all delighted.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
First, know your curriculum and be familiar with the syllabus. Next, know your preofessor and their specific quirks and focus. If you have a specific question then ask it and if you aren't fully grasping the concept do not be ashamed to say so. Tutors are there to help you and they want you to succeed.

My current rate is $25 dollars a session. Sessions can last anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour depending on the need of the student.
