About Alliyah
Hi! I’m a junior high school student who is also taking classes at a college (dual enrollment). I love chemistry and I hope to major in it in college. I love helping students, just like me, learn and understand concepts that they struggle with to their best ability. When taking chemistry, many students came to me for help and I helped many students understand concepts to do well in the course! Now that the course is over for me, I hope to help other students still by tutoring!
As a student who’s still in high school, there isn’t a lot. Though this is true, I earned an A in my advanced chemistry class both semesters, and I tutored many of the students in my class to help them also receive the grades they were hoping for!

I believe at first, it’s important to see where the student begins to lose understanding of a concept. Knowing what a student understands and what they’re struggling with can prevent you from repeating things they already know and it can help you take more time to explain the things they’re confused about. You have to know where to start from. Also, understanding if the student is a visual, auditorial, tactical, etc. type of learner can help me give them tips when it comes to studying, and it can also help me understand what teaching style works best for them!
I have worked with other peers in my class and in other chemistry classes that needed help.
