About Josue C

My service stands out in comparison to other tutors because I truly enjoy teaching others about Chemistry, and watching my students succeed in their courses.

What is most satisfying about working as a tutor is the ability for me to be part of the process of having my students understand Chemistry and watch them be able to solve problems they previously could not.

I realized my passion for teaching when I was working as a chemistry TA at my undergraduate. I have also helped some family and friends with their chemistry classes and realized I really enjoyed helping others understand chemistry.

I am a graduate student purusing a PhD in chemistry. I have mutliple years during my undergraduate working as a teaching assistant, and helping students with their coursework. I currently work as a teaching assistant at Texas A&M university and I really enjoy teaching students.

About the lesson

Getting to know the student and their background knowledge in chemistry to see what areas they are doing well in. Using this, the student and I will discuss how we can build off from their current understanding.

I have worked with students in typical undergraduate general chemistry courses.

Some advice I would give to a student looking to hire a teacher in the area of chemistry, is to make sure they are friendly and are not trying to make you feel like it is your fault because of the subject difficulty. You are more than capable of learning a subject like chemistry.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should be asking themselves if they have already tried to attempt to understand the material on their own by looking at their notes or textbook. This will allow them to ask the right questions when they are with their tutor or teacher.
