About Nina
I am a UC Berkeley student hoping to find students who need tutoring in the sciences. I am Pre-Medicine and I am a psychology and integrative biology double major. I can answer any and all questions about science and math.
I enjoy helping students understand difficult subjects. With proper instruction and sufficient amount of time, any student can understand a subject. I enjoy explaining difficult topics in easy to understand ways.

My process is to get an understanding of the topics being discussed and familiarize myself with the students learning the style. I want to know what the strengths and weaknesses are of each student so I know what to spend most of our lesson working on.
I have worked with high school students, middle school, and some junior college students.
I would advise students to look for tutors with more than just a general understanding of the subject matter. High School student tutors may be very smart and educated however they lack some of the more advanced classes which deepen their understanding of certain topics. High School biology, chemistry, math, psychology, and other courses taught cover a small portion of what each topic actually consists of. The tutor you hire should be very knowledgable about the subject being taught.

I was not specifically looking to be tutored but I was one semester behind her in Chem and I got stuck on some of the thermodynamics concepts and since she had already taken it she helped me out.
My son was having a difficult time with memorizing and understanding concepts in AP psychology. Nina helped him prepare for his final and AP exam.
Nina tutored my daughter in biology and did a wonderful job explaining some of the difficult concepts my husband and I had forgotten how to explain. Very pleased with her tutoring service. My daughter did much better on her exams!
