About Stephanie

I am an experienced high school teacher who has a passion for science. To share my wealth of knowledge with students and help them understand the life sciences is something that I am truly passionate about. I am able to help students with bringing up their grades, giving them general testing tips to apply their knowledge to new situations, and can help them pass the Pennsylvania Keystone exams.

I enjoy getting to know the various students I work with and learn their strengths in order for them to succeed in their course of study. General Biology content is taught while helping students understand topics important to their life. I love to see the progress students can make with just some much needed one on one attention.

About the lesson

My typical approach when working with a student is to get to know that student first. I need to fully understand what areas of need the child has to fully develop a plan. By administering a background pre-test I can generalize what part content was missed in order to succeed with current content.

Once we have learned what areas of strength and weakness the particular child has in the content the learning can begin. We can use hands on and tactile learning techniques online or in person to establish learning. Making learning relate to the real world will help build confidence in the subject area
