I am a Teaching Assistant in Advanced Virology at UCLA, my alma mater, and will be entering a graduate program in the fall for a Ph.D. in the biological sciences. I have 3+ years of experience working with students one-on-one and in group settings to advance their understanding of concepts and techniques in biology and virology.
I'm looking forward to meeting you and hope to surpass your expectations!
I enjoy working with students to develop a deeper understanding of course material. I also love working on creative, research-based topics that require critical thinking to explore!
I have a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics (as well as a second major in Human Biology and Society). I also minored in Public Health as a student.
I have served as a Teaching and Research Assistant at UCLA since 2019, and will be entering a Ph.D. program in the Fall.

I look forward to seeing some of the material that a student is working on so that I can further familiarize myself with specific and relevant concepts that would improve their understanding of the topic.
Every student works and learns differently, so I like to meet with each student to discuss their current understanding, goals, learning style, and work-life balance prior to starting.
I have worked predominantly with college students in recent years, but have worked with high school students in the past.
Every student's ability to learn effectively depends upon communication and fit with a potential tutor. I recommend reaching out to multiple potential teachers and discussing your goals to determine if they are suitable for you!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should contemplate their goals (eg. to improve test performance, perform better on assignments, gain a deeper understanding of course material, explore related topics, etc.) and evaluate their own learning style (eg. independent with feedback, guided visually/verbally/textually, etc.).
