About Marie
I was a teaching assistant (TA) in many courses in college, and also taught some in my PhD program. In addition, I did an internship in my senior year of high school teaching 7th grade science for a couple of months.
I have a bachelors degree from Colgate University in Biology and Latin double majors. I am currenly a PhD student at Albert Einstein College of Medicine studying biological sciences with emphasis on biochemistry. I got a perfect SAT, almost perfect ACT score, and perfect GRE score for standardized tests. I am fluent in ancient Latin. I am a very strong writer and strong in mathematics as well so I can help with those subjects too.

I start by offering one free 15 minute initial meet and greet introductory session with each student to assess the academic needs and I put together a plan on how I can meet those needs and help them be successful in their coursework. Then we begin our sessions based on the outlined goals.
I have worked with students from elementary school all the way up through graduate school/
I would recommend that they meet the teacher/tutor and make sure they connect (which is why I offer the free initial meet and greet).
I recently discovered something very exciting for my thesis project in the science lab.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should think about what they understand and what concepts they are having difficulty grasping beforehand so we can focus on the more difficult topics.

The first time I took the SATs I did pretty poorly. I worked with Marie for several sessions and we worked for several sessions very hard and she was very knowledgeable. My score went up by about 300 points after working with her. She is nice too and worked really hard with me to help me do the best I could
Was having alot of trouble with Biology and she helped so much I was able to pass my last test.

Details
It depends on the needs of the student. Also, I offer individual and group tutoring sessions. For individual it varies from 40 to 60$ an hour and it is less for the group sessions.
