About Jasmine

Hello, I am a local mom and Steam Teacher with Science programs across the Bay Area. I am currently earning my masters degree in biology education. I love anything that has to do with science, especially biology. I think outside the box and am known to throw in fun experiments, art projects that help to visualize what you need help with , and awesome visual aids to fascilitate understanding. I am willing to host in my home, travel close to my home in Palm Harbor, and am fully capable of tutoring online . If a mix of the three works for you, I can do that as well! I pretty much have a whole science lab in a bag and a ton of visual aids, projects and such to help you visualize and understand the topic you need help in.

I just LOVE science so much! It's truly fascinating and I love to spread my joy in it.

Does playing school and forcing my little sister to be my student growing up count? I have always known what I wanted to be!

I have always loved biology and science in general. It was always my favorite subject! I am currently a STEAM teacher with a program here in Pinellas county. I travel to many schools and work with all types of children in different age ranges. I hold a bachelors in science education and am currently working towards my masters in biology education.

About the lesson

I like to get an idea of the area you are struggling with and hear from you why you think you are struggling. In order to understand your learning style, I may ask a few questions such as:

Do you feel that the topic was not introduced to you in a way you understand?

Do you feel that you need more visual aids or more hands on approaches to help you learn the topic?

Are you willing to do what it takes to understand and master the topic?

Once I understand where your troubles stem from, we can make a plan together that would help tackle the issue. Not everyone learns the same and it's hard for teachers who have many students to cover all learning styles. As a one on one tutor, I will be able to use your learning style and help to get you to grasp the concepts through innovative and fun ways.

All types from 5th grade to college and now some adults that are pursuing their bachelors degree.

Space X and the return of the humanized capsule. It's been a very long time since we stepped on the moon and they are preparing to go to mars in the coming years. My first love in science was cells and their functions.. my second love in science is all things space!!
